TeddyFabz - Deerfield

We stopped by TeddyFabz for some food before work.  We got the Italian Sausage.  It was good.  This place is set up where you order from the counter, get a number, and they'll bring it to you.  In addition to Giardiniera they gave us some dipping sauce.  It was pretty good.

The number 47.

I was careful no to get too close to the Giardiniera - so as not to repeat this.

Meg's Daily Grind - Perryville

Meg's Daily Grind is a cafe in Rockford.  From the sleeve on the coffee cup we got, it looks like there are multiple locations.  The one we went to was on Perryville Road.

The atmosphere was nice, there was a fireplace (though, not lit) and some comfortable chairs, as well as tables.  All my owner did was read today, though - Alias Grace as has been usual, recently.

website is here

Although we started at the table...

...we decided to sit in the chair.

Starbucks - Rockford (State & Trainer)

There are two Starbucks locations on State in Rockford.  This one is the one closer to Mulford.

Fairly typical, though the front of the store is a narrow hallway with tables in it - it allows for more privacy if you are able to snag a table at the end.  But, as it is in the front of the store (at least in terms of facing the parking lot), it allows a view to the outside world too - so it's perfect for introverted claustrophobes.  Thankfully I'm neither.

My owner worked and read (Alias Grace) for a long time here.  And for a long time was cursing the slowness of his laptop.  By the time we left it was dark and raining.  Heavily.  Thankfully I'm still transported in my carrying case!

Regal - Cantera 17 + RPX

Another movie.  The Raid - Redemption (Serbuan maut).  This one is in Indonesian.  And it kicks major ass.  Literally and figuratively.  It's the most violent movie I've ever seen (granted, it's only the 9th movie I've ever seen) it started out with a lot of guns and ended with spectacular martial arts - called Silat.

The cinema used to be pretty much the same as South Barrington 30 - but this one has been chopped down to 17.  You can see the empty wing through the side doors though.

Auditorium #3.  Once again.

Starbucks - Warrenville

Starbucks once again.  More reading (Alias Grace) more working/writing.  The outlet worked, as did the Wi-Fi, so that's what mattered.

This never gets old

Portillo's - Naperville (Ogden)

Well, in my research, I've found that there are two Portillo's in Naperville.  This one is the one on Ogden Ave.  This one had a style of the '20s, which was a touch more refined and a nice change of pace from all the Bootlegger or gangster decor of the others (not that that's bad, but they seem to have a lot done that way).

I actually got lost here.  As my owner was taking off his jacket, I popped out of his pocket and end up on a chair at a different table from where he was sitting.  It was confusing for us both.  Perhaps that happened because it was Friday the 13th?

That is, in fact, a hot dog.  Suprised?

Traffic on the Tollway!

At the toll booth in Elgin, IL.  There was construction, we had to drive slowly.  But this was a great opportunity for a "traveling picture" or your favorite traveling TP!
