La Magdalena - Schaumburg, IL

We stopped for Mexican food at La Magdalena in Schaumburg, IL - which was yummy.  Specifically we had tacos, but if you've been paying attention, you would've been able to predict that. :)

Portillo's - Schaumburg

Another Portillo's... it's been awhile!  '50s style for this one.  Ooh, and look, we tried a hot tamale! mmm

AMC - Streets of Woodfield

AMC Streets of Woodfield theatres.  We saw 21 Jump Street, and this is the first time I've seen a movie where the star was from another movie I'd seen - Channing Tatum.  My owner would like to apologize to anybody that sat near him during the movie, as he got a fit of the coughs, which must've been annoying.

Movie #6 for Ollie!

that guy looks relaxed (it was a commercial, not from 21 Jump Street)

Library - Schaumburg, IL

I made it to the Schaumburg Township District Library in Schaumburg, IL

That's quite an elevator!

TP likes #2!

This is the reading room - my owner has read here a number of times, he tells me (he didn't on this occasion)

Starbucks 72&58

This Starbucks is also in Schaumburg, but it is not Streets of Woodfield.  This one is near where Higgins (72) and Golf (58) intersect.

Starbucks #4 for Ollie!

(the book is 1Q84 by Murakami)

Starbucks SOW and O'Hare Oasis

So, seeing I have no way to get around on my own, I have to depend on my, uh, "owner" I guess you'd call him.  Anyway, everything in those first few weeks is a blur.  I remember a lot of coffee, and a lot of loud cars and trucks.  For example, on December 26, 2011 I was at the Starbucks at the Streets of Woodfield (SOW) in Schaumburg IL

and at the O'Hare Oasis on the Tri-State, near Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

But I can't speak too much about either experience yet.  Sensory overload.
