Texas Roadhouse - Rockford, IL

After work we stopped here for a burger and a beer before working at the nearby Starbucks.  It was quite tasty.  In fact, we forgot to even get a picture of the food before we ate it.

There's the Shiner Bock, right in the middle

Janesville and Time Out Pub & Eatery

We walked around Janesville, WI for a bit, then had lunch at Time Out Pub & Eatery.  The Rock River (which is a tributary of the Mississippi) flows through Janesville, I liked watching it, thinking of traveling on a boat or something.  There were some nice sights in the city as well.

At Time Out the beer was Spotted Cow (which is only available in Wisconsin) and the food was a burger.  It was tasty.

All other activities?

Five Guys - Glenview, IL

Burgers & more burgers!  Five Guys in Glenview - we had a cheesburger with BBQ sauce.  There was also the Coke Freestyle machine here where you can pretty much mix all sorts of different flavors together.  I left a "calling card" on the cork board where others drew pictures and whatnot.

Hmmmm... I've got an idea!

Ollie was here - 3-11-12!

Rookie's All-American Pub & Grill - Hoffman Estates

One dollar burgers!  This place has 'em (at least in February).  When we pulled up, half of the strip mall was evacuated due to a fire alarm (not the Rookie's part though - but we had to park on the "evacuated" side & walk to Rookies).  There was a huge red Hoffman Estates Fire Department firetruck in the parking lot.  Inside there were a whole bunch of TVs showing sports related content.  But the main draw (for my owner, anway) was the $1 burgers. :)

mmmm, cheeseburger

TVs galore

Portillo's Skokie

Now this Portillo's was set up to look like it was from the '30s - not the '50s or '60s.  Otherwise it was pretty much the same as the other two.

Portillo's #3 for Ollie!
